Richard Madden in “Lady Chatterley’s Lover” new adaptation


The actor Richard Madden, best known for his role as Robb Stark in “Game of Thrones“, will participate in the new BBC adaptation of DH Lawrence’s novel, “Lady Chatterley’s Lover“.

The novel, first published in 1928, tells the story of Lady Constance Chatterley, a young woman whose husband had been paralyzed from the waist down due to a war injury. The physical and emotional condition of her husband put the couple apart and she ends up having an affair with the gamekeeper, Oliver Mellors, role that will be played by Madden. Holliday Grainger (“The Borgias”), as Lady Chatterley and James Norton as Sir Clifford Chatterley will join him in this romance which explores if true love can exists apart of physical love.
