Sherlock

Sherlock is a British TV Show created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, who also produce and write for the series. It’s based on the writings of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and places the two emblematic characters of the detectives Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and John Watson (Martin Freeman) in the twentieth century London. The show started in 2010 and has already three series with 3 episodes each plus a special screened at the beginning of 2016.

Sherlock Holmes is a detective-consultant that helps the London Police to solve crimes alongside his friend and room mate, John Watson, a veteran soldier from the Afghanistan war. The series bring others important characters, as Greg Lestrade (Rupert Graves) a police Inspector that tolerates Sherlock’s antics in favor of his geniality in solving crimes; Molly Hopper (Louise Brealey), a pathologist that helps them in the laboratory; Jim Moriarty (Andrew Scott), his well-known arch-enemy; Mary Watson (Amanda Abbington), John Watson’s wife; Mycroft Holmes (Mark Gatiss), Sherlock’s older brother; Mrs. Hudson (Una Stubbs), Sherlocks landlady.

The TV Show, which is now in the beginning of the filming of series 4, is acclaimed by the critics not only by the powerful performances of its amazing cast, but also by the clever plots and amazing directing, had won several prizes, included BAFTA, Emmy and Golden Globes.
